Interruption and Revival of Mongolian Aobao Culture in Mongolchin Area of Liaoning Province

ABSTRACT: Since the 1980s, the Aobao Memorial Ceremony in Mongolian areas which had been interrupted for around 60 years is reviving. Recently, the idea of the Intangible Cultural Heritage reservation offers a good opportunity of the revival of aobao culture. This paper reported the situations of the aobao cairns and aobao festival in the Mongolchin district in Liaoning province, and discussed the transform of the aobao culture along with the life style and society.

辽西蒙古贞地区消弭与复兴中的蒙古族敖包文化

摘要：20世纪80年代始，各蒙古地区曾经一度中断的敖包祭祀活动大有恢复之势。近年来，非物质文化遗产保护工作的风起云涌更为敖包文化的复兴提供了一个良好的时代契机。本文选取辽宁省西部的蒙古贞地区为田野调查地点，试图探讨蒙古民族的“敖包文化”在生活方式与时代变迁的洗礼中，经历了怎样的中断与恢复，其内涵、社会功能及意义发生着怎样的演变，并如何以崭新的面貌融入到当地民众的生产生活中，从而逐渐形成了具有地方性特色的蒙古贞敖包文化。
