OBSERVATION
 Visiting the Northern Dynasty castles in Jishan County, South Shanxi

ABSTRACT: The southern part of Shanxi province is actually in the core areas of the Central China, and was one of the cradles of the Chinese civilization. Many famous wars have taken place in this area, including Yubi War of the Northern Dynasty. For the purpose of investigating the ethnicity of the soldiers of the war, a team from Fudan University visited the sites of the Yubi War in present Jishan County. We visited five castles, including Yubi Castle, Gao Huan Castle, Ghuklüt Guang Castle, Gaoliang Castle, and Huaguk Castle. Some bone samples, maybe of Xianbei soldiers, were collected for molecular anthropological analyses.

晋南稷山县北朝古城堡遗址考察

摘要：晋南地处中原腹地，既是中华文明的发祥地之一，也是历史上兵家必争之地，北朝时期著名的玉壁之战就发生在这块土地上。为了调查玉壁之战参与士兵的种属问题，复旦大学的调查小组重访了稷山县的玉壁古战场，调查了玉壁城、高欢城、斛律光寨、高凉城、华谷城等北朝遗址，并收集到了一些可供分子人类学分析的样本，可能是鲜卑族战士。
